Fritillaria – imperialis Lutea AGM

Large golden yellow bells on strong stems. The bulbs have a indentation in the top of them so they must be planted on their sides to prevent rotting. Otherwise they are very easy to grow and are a superb garden plant.

Fritillaria – meleagris

Commonly known as 'Snakeshead lily'. A superb colour mix of purple and white. This variety is the most popular of the fritillarias and can be grown in slightly damp conditions and semi-shade. Ideal for naturalising. These bulbs are best bought from Garden centres in August before they start to dry out or alternatively from ourselves at any time as we keep them in ideal conditions before sending to you.

Fritillaria – michailovskyi AGM

Also known as 'Michaels Flower' this variety is multi-flowering with violet purple bells that have yellow edges.This is one of the more unusual fritillarias and as such will bring a difference to any garden. Very good naturaliser.

Fritillaria – persica

This is quite a majestic fritillaria. The spikes are adorned with deep purple/violet bell shaped flowers. Fritillaria prefer free draining soil, but can also be planted in heavier soils by adding grit to the hole before planting. Always plant the bulb with the hollow bit on its side. Once planted they can be left to naturalise for a number of years, mulch well in winter.
