Wedding favours – with a difference!

Forget sugared almonds, bulbs are an excellent gift to use for wedding favours as they come back year after year and provide your guests with a long lasting memory of your special day.  For weddings in the summer from August onwards, we can provide bulbs such as crocus, anemones, snowdrops or muscari.  These are ideal due to their size but you could also use the larger bulbs such as miniature narcissi or tulips – the choice is yours.  For spring weddings, what about acidanthera, miniature gladioli, croscomia or even lilies!  The other beauty of bulbs is that the colour of the bloom can be coordinated with your wedding colour theme – from white and pink to the bolder blues or even red!

The history of favours can be traced back to the early days of European history when they were given as tokens or gifts at weddings, christenings and birthdays.  Traditionally, each favour contains 5 sugared almonds to represent health, wealth, happiness, longevity and fertility.
