Metallic Shine performs really well in the garden and containers, the flowers are a intense soft violet purple. This allium is the result of a cross between A cristophii and A. atropurpureum. They prefer to be grown in the sheltered semi shaded areas of the garden in a well drained soil. Plant bulbs approx four times deeper than the diameter of the bulbs. Alliums are superb for bees and butterflies and will naturalise very well in most soils that are well drained. Feed with bone meal or similar during the leaf and flowering stage to ensure future good growth and performance. Alliums perform very well with early flowering perennials.
Aspect: Semi shade to full sun in a sheltered spot.
Soil type: All soils that have plenty of nutrients and do not get waterlogged.
New season bulbs will be dispatched from September onwards
