Commonly known as Michaelmas Daisy this is one of the later flowering Asters. Aster Duchess mixed will produce some stunning flowers that will make a statement in your garden.
Early sowing of seeds need to be done under cover in early April.
Sow Aster Duchess direct into soils from May to June in open well cultivated ground or alternatively a cold frame. Once grown thin out the seedlings to 5cms apart.
Transplant out during August and September spacing them out to 30cm apart. Flowers will appear September onwards.
Ideally plant out into well cultivated soils that are moist but will freely drain. This is a hardy annual providing an abundance of flowers.
