An unusual but lovely plant Bessera elegans can produce up to 30 rich coral orange-red flowers, which have white stripes on the inner petals. The dainty, nodding flowers of Bessera elegans are finished off by a scarlet red midrib. Can be grown outside in a full sun position during the summer. They are also an excellent plant for the conservatory or Greenhouse. Not suited for over wintering outside so gradually withdraw water and once dormant the bulbs can either be lifted (if planted outside) or left in the pots until the following spring. Protect from frosts during the winter period.
