Grown for the attractive leaves that they produce Caladiums are quite superb. Candidum has fantastic lush leaves that are white veined with green. Often known as ‘Elephant Ears’., they are frost tender so cannot be grown outdoors until all danger of frost has passed. Start growth indoors in February to March in a rich soil with plenty of grit to aid drainage. Once established in a pot they can be left for a few years as long as they are protected from frost over winter.
