Camassia are ideal for attracting bees, buterflies and pollinating insects into the garden. Camassia prefer to be planted in full sun although they are happy to tolerate semi-shade. Leichtlinii alba produce a mass of creamy white flowers which stand out especially in grassland areas. Camassia are very tough and are happy to be planted in soils that are less than perfect. They will endure soils that are heavy and poorly drained. Can be grown in grassland/meadow land areas or borders of the garden. Leave them undisturbed from year to year for the best performance and they will self seed once established. Do not allow bulbs to dry out during the growing season.
Aspect: Full sun but will tolerate semi shade. Naturalise really well in grassland
Soil type: Free draining soils although they will endure heavier poorly drained soils
