The variegated foliage of Sacajawea is one of the outstanding features of his variety although the stunning creamy/white flowers are also superb. Camassia are very tough and are happy to be planted in soils that are less than perfect. They will endure soils that are heavy and poorly drained. Can be grown in grassland/meadow land areas or borders of the garden. Prefer to be in full sun but are also ok in semi shaded areas that has soil that is humus rich. Leave undisturbed from year to year for the best performance and they will self seed once established. Do not allow to dry out during the growing season. Camassia are ideal fo attracting bees, butterflies and pollinating insects into the garden as well as being a superb addition in their own right.
Aspect: Full sun but happy in semi shaded areas. Ideal for naturalising in grasslan
