Dodecatheon are commonly called Shooting Stars. They have very attractive stems of several cyclamen-like flowers. This variety grows well in the shade and it will produce flowers that are a deep rose pink with a white base. It can produce up to 20 flowers on one stem. Dodecatheon can be left to naturalise in the soil from year to year. Ensure soils are free draining and in heavier soils add grit and or humus matter to help with drainage.
