Description

Tigridia pavonia Canariensis has flowers of creamy yellow spotted carmine red in the centre.  Tigridia pavonia Canariensis a stunningly beautiful variety and will add colour to your garden, flowering mid to late summer.

Cultivation instruction

Indoor Planting: For the best effect grow outside for summer colour.

Plant outside: They are best grown in a sunny, well drained soil. Cultivate soils to a depth of 15cms and plant 10-15cms apart and 6cms deep. The flowers only appear for a day or so but as they grow multiple stems then you will get flowers appearing for a number of weeks. Also know as the Mexican shell flower they are ideal to grow amongst low growing shrubs which they grow through and look stunning.

Grow in containers, tubs and borders.

Care Tips:

Keep soils moist in the first year to help them establish.

Use root grow to help the bulbs develop root growth quicker.

Soil type: All well drained soils, in heavier soils add grit to aide drainage.

Aspect: Full sun preferred but will work well in semi sun.
